Going to bed last night I planned to ride to/from work today - my first commute of the year - however, the heavy dusting of snow (< 1") caused most roads I bike on (residential side streets) to be sketchy at best. On one such road I slid through the three stop signs in my truck.
So after getting home from work I finally (for the first time since last April) went downstairs and setup my indoor bike, which took some maintenance to swap a pedall I 'borrowed' earlier this year to use on my road bike and put it back onto the indoor bike. After fiddling with the pedal to get it mounted on the indoor bike, I came to the realization that I removed the wrong pedal off the road bike so it wouldn't thread into the open crank threads. In my defense, both bikes were hanging upside down, one by both wheels and the other by the rear wheel; so I had a little mental lapse. I finally realized my error after taking the bike off the hooks and setting it upright on the floor to try for a better attack - and a light went on.
It was a good ride!
